I would not order this item ever again. Product is useless in my opinion and was not worth the price I paid.
If you follow the straightforward directions, this does an very effective job of picking the debris out of the record grooves. Although the price seemed a little high for the particular type of tool, I must admit that this is the most effective and simple record cleaner I have used. I often pick up records in thrift stores that are undamaged but dirty - every thing from heavy dust to mold from a record sleeve that had become wet during some past flood.
arrived in 3 days of order. Stanton came though were RCA failed, Very nice cleaner, has a felt brush like it should have to get in and clean the grooves of your vinyl albums.
As I could not afford that product, I selected the Stanton Record Cleaner Kit. The applicator fluid is quite helpful, as well. I purchased this to clean up my vinyl, as I was also purchasing the AT-PL120 turntable. The soft brush is excellent at whisking away dust and debris from the vinyl grooves. The kit has vastly improved the sound of my records, and I am pleased with the results. My LPs have been spun innumerable times, and most date from the 60's-80's. I originally wanted an expensive machine that would remove all the debris from my records, which hissed and popped quite vigorously.
However, after repeated use I've noticed that the fibers on the area of the brush where the fluid was applied have become matted down and thus are less effective at reaching into the groves. The fluid is also effective. It cleans records as advertised and does a fair job. The brush works well dry at removing dust and other particles.
